Eric
This is an impressive website. I was just in Juarez last week and saw the place where many women were murdered and where the tape recorder of a journalist picked up a voice of a women crying to her mother for help. Ask Sergio Rueda how you can get a copy.

Re: Socially Engaged Spirituality

As you know I have been doing dreamwork. I am not only enjoying this kind of postitive research but am actually sleeping better to boot! Dreamwork is healthy! I feel more rested and have a tremendous sense of spiritual accomplishment and fulfillment. It is my intention to be positive even if the subject area, Juarez, is horribly negative beyond belief. I think a positive approach could have an effect. The Positive Research Concept allows the researcher to apply more power and strength.

(My dreamwork effort is being assisted (daytimes) by a Shoshone Medicine Man I met about a year ago. I am enjoying the supervision.) He suspects a warring angel in Juarez.

The dreamwork idea is to work while asleep. The usual is to dream, wake and tell the dream to a group of dream helpers but my helpers are there while I am asleep! An example is La Calchona about whom we know some since she has been in the Chilean literature since 1875. (La Calchona was a shape shifter who got caught in the animal form and couldn't return because her children used her potions while she was an animal. She wandered the fields crying. She is not doing that now but has returned in full force!)

Ther is more. Last night in a dream, a second helper appeared: La Llorona, the crying woman. She is well known in Mexico as an archtype but also in Chile and was to be Victor Jara's next subject should he have lived. (He was to do an album about La Llorona according to Joan Jara his wife.) La Llorona, I heard, was captured at the Rancagua River area in Chile and shot by the Carabinero National Police on the Rancagua bridge for being a Union leader. She refused to drop her baby and fell into the river with her baby where, residents say, she can be heard to this day crying for her child. This image, to me, seems very similar to Juarez: mothers crying for their children. I welcome La Llorona to our dreamwork circle.

I am going to research Jung for some of these archtypes and personal myths. Also, while asleep I am going to have a dream table with helpers as they assemble. I plan to use Dr. Ullman's method for the dream table. Those who can't attend the dream table in person can come by dream telepathy.

ciao

Eric

P.S. I heard a flute in my dreams three nights ago! The flute continues to be in dreams since. Is it Kokopelli? If it is, I welcome that archtype too. This gets interesting.

P.P.S. (To Ilene) The website I created for this project is http://results.bravehost.com and the main Project 14 Website is http://juarez.bravehost.com F.Y.I.
